Archangel Michael
Angels are our caretakers.
They help to guide, counsel, teach, heal, comfort, warn, and protect us.
One thing that there is a much greater need for is angelic protection.
Every week in our country an average of about a million crimes are
committed, and around a quarter of them are crimes of violence. Each
week about 500 people are murdered, 5,000 women are raped, and 100,000
children are abused! Around 2,000 people die in accidents every week.
These appalling numbers could be dramatically reduced if there were more
angelic protection. In order to get greater protection, however,
we must ask for it. Angels, by divine law, cannot act, cannot do anything
to help us unless they're asked to (with some exceptions). Since
most people do not work with angels, they do far less for us than they
could. To get more angelic protection, more people need to pray for
it.
What angel should you ask for protection? The answer is Archangel Michael. He is our greatest protector, defender. He is the Captain of the armies of God. Lord Michael is in charge of all the angels, including the other Archangels (ex, Gabriel, Raphael). He is the Prince of the Archangels.
Archangel Michael and his armies are needed most during war. I believe that the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and World Wars I and II were won because of angelic assistance. Angels helped win battles. During World War I, for example, thousands of Germans had a small contingent of British soldiers very badly outnumbered near Mons, Belgium in August of 1914. They could have annihilated the British, but they turned and ran because of angelic intervention. Soldiers on both sides saw angels at Mons; some said they saw Archangel Michael. King David once said that "the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7). The angels at Mons are an excellent example of that.
We may need Archangel Michael and his legions more than ever in the coming years because a world war is one of the many dire prophecies for the near future. One prophecy of a possible future war was given to George Washington. In the winter of 1777, a Divine Being of great Light appeared to him at Valley Forge and gave him a vision* of the birth, progress, and destiny of the United States. That vision showed him three conflicts (and their outcomes): the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and a third world conflict.
In the vision of the third world conflict, George Washington saw vast armies from three continents invade and devastate America. When Americans are almost overcome, there is divine intervention. The great heavenly host, in all their power and glory, descend to help Americans defeat their adversaries and drive them out. The heavenly messenger tells George Washington that with Divine Assistance, the whole world united against America shall not prevail. Washington is shown America being rebuilt, and he hears an angel say that the Union will last as long as there are stars in the sky.
The Book of Daniel is another source of prophecy for the perilous years ahead, and it helps us to see the importance of Archangel Michael for our country and for the world: "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be written in the book." (Daniel 12:1)
Nothing negative prophecied
is fated to be. All that has been prophecied can be prevented or
mitigated through greater prayer and obedience to the Will of God.
The time for doing so, however, may be very short.
